Or have you imagined our daily activities without the conscience and knowledge of colors? It is appearing that human activities would look extremely confusing without colors, because everything the creator made evolves around colors.

The sun is white. The sun emits all colors of the rainbow in approximately equal amounts and we call this combination “white”. That is why we can see so many different colors in the natural world under the illumination of sunlight.

The moon is gray when viewed from space, yet from Earth we see it as a variety of colors. The Moon reflects the Sun’s light sending it through our atmosphere to create different effects. At night the Moon appears yellow while in the day it often appears white.

The stars are colorful as well. Stars, like the Sun appears off-white. The hottest stars tend to appear blue or blue-white, whereas the coolest stars are red. A color index of a star is the difference in the magnitudes measured at any two wavelengths and is one way that astronomers measure and express the temperature of stars.

There are numerous colors in existence, and it is important that one knows the categories, names, codes and their meanings as well.

Primary colors:

The Primary category is basically the building blocks from which all other colors are derived. Also known as basic colors, as they can’t be recreated by color mixing. Traditional art and color theory accept RYB as the primary colors. As humans are trichromatic (there are three different color receptors in our retina), RYB is fundamental to see the color spectrum of our world. If using an RGB color wheel, there’s another set of secondary colors called additives: blue and green produce cyan, blue and red make magenta, and blue and yellow will make green.

The combination of primary and secondary colors is known as tertiary or intermediate colors, due to their compound nature.
