Real Madrid face Atalanta at the National Stadium in Warsaw (Poland) in the European Super Cup.
The European Super Cup is a one-legged game played between the winner of the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League for that particular season.
Real Madrid won the La Decimoquinta at Wembley, and the Italians on the other hand overcame Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final (3-0) and finished the season in fourth place in Serie A.
This makes the clash very dicey and puts all football fans in suspense as to what exactly will happen on Wednesday, August 14.
This will be Real Madrid’s ninth appearance in the European Super Cup, a trophy they have won on five occasions (2002, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2022). Atalanta will be playing in their first final of this European competition.
After losing two and drawing one of their pre-season matches, it seems Atalanta will not be much of a burden for Real Madrid who on the other hand won one and lost two of their pre-season matches.
