After going three games in La Liga without scoring for his new club, Kylian Mbappe finally ends his goal drought.
The pressure on Kylian Mbappe in recent times has been a very intense one considering his status in the game and the number of games he played without scoring.
After switching clubs, the frenchman scored in the Super cup game against Atalanta, and that was all until Real Betis came to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The first half of the game saw a Madrid side that dominated the game but could not penetrate the defense of Pellegrini’s side.
A move by Rodrygo on the 67th minute along the 18 yard box of Real Betis set Valverde up who consequently relayed that platform to Kylian Mbappe who was well positioned for the opener.
Mbappe added the second after Vini Jnr. dribbled past the Real Betis’ goalkeeper on the 75th minute and his movement was interrupted.
A penalty was awarded and Mbappe slotted home the ball swerving the goalkeeper to the far right.
Kylian Mbappe now has two goals after playing four matches in La Liga, a figure quite distinct from what the fans anticipated at this stage of the season.
