Election 2024: John and Jane visits the central region

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), H.E John Dramani Mahama, and his running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman met with the central regional house of chiefs.

The central regional house of chiefs welcomed the flagbearer and running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John and Jane respectively today, July 30, 2024, to share and discuss their concerns about the central region and national development.

Following the pronouncement of John Mahama during the 2024 NDC campaign launch in Tamale to launch the NDC Manifesto in the central region, the leadership of the party made this visit to the House of Chiefs. This then becomes the first public visit of the NDC after the campaign launch.

During the interaction, the chiefs asked questions to seek clarifications and ideas from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding certain happenings in the country.

Some of the areas that were targeted were the minority in parliament’s concern about the Lithium mining in the central region, abandoned projects in the country, clean campaign, Gender equality, and others.

John and Jane answered all the questions to the satisfaction of the chiefs and afterwards sought for the assistance of the house of chiefs in the upcoming general elections.

The NDC presented gifts to the house of chiefs as custom demands, and the house of chiefs in return presented some gift that they think will remind John and Jane of their promises to the central region and Ghana in general.
