CETAG suspends two-month old strike, gives gov’t an ultimatum

The colleges of Education Teachers’ Association (CETAG) has called-off their strike for the time-being.

The President of the Association, Prince Obeng Himeh, has revealed that the rationale behind the suspension of the strike is as a result of the numerous calls from the office of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

It therefore means that hitherto the government has not met their demands despite abandoning the classroom.

One of the demands of the Association is to be elevated to a University status, which the government has agreed to do.

CETAG has therefore given the government up to October to resolve all the issues they raised before they embarked on the strike action.
