Ancelotti makes history by raising the bar to unprecedented hieghts

Dr. Carlo Ancelotti is ideal in what he does, or perhaps becoming the standard in modern coaching.

Real Madrid faced Atalanta in the 2024/25 European Super Cup in Poland, and it was an even match until the 59th minute when Federico Valverde broke the deadlock of the game.

In the quest to extend supremacy in global football, Real Madrid, currently under the tutelage of Dr. Ancelotti took their super cup tally to a historic 6, leaving behind all other clubs in Europe.

This means Dr. Ancelotti sets yet another record, this time as the first coach ever to win the UEFA Super Cup five times, leaving Pep Guardiola behind on four.

The first two were achieved on the Milan bench in 2003 and 2007, then Real Madrid in 2014, 2022 and 2024.

Dr. Ancelotti is the most successful manager in UEFA Champions League history having won the trophy a record five times, plus two more when he was a player. He is also the first and only one to have managed teams in six Champions League finals.

As a player, he won the European Cup twice with AC Milan in 1989 and 1990, making him one of seven people to have won the European Cup or Champions League as both a player and a manager.

Don Carlo, as affectionately called, is also the first and only manager ever to have won league titles in all of Europe’s top five leagues namely Spanish La Liga with Real Madrid, English Premier League with Chelsea, German Bundesliga with Bayern Munich, French Ligue 1 with Paris Saint Germain, and the Italian Seire A with AC Milan.

As he keeps showing modernity, improvisation, and class in his day to day managerial career, it would not be a surprise to see him stay at Real Madrid for long. Remember, that will be an achievement as well because not every coach gets to coach Real Madrid, at least for too long.
